An old clerics ramblings
Before you is an old worn scroll that has seen better days. If you gently untie the string and carefully unroll the papyrus you just might be able to make out the barely-legible writing. A mark has been made through 'clerics.' Below it 'warrior' has been written.

I am getting bonded to Vanity in a few weeks. It has been a very long time since I have been at peace and calm as I am now. I love Vanity very much. She has taught me a very valuable lesson in life. The lesson is 'If you are going to make choices to do good, do it because you want to better yourself not because someone wants or asked you to do so.' I want to spend as much time with her as I can for she is my star of hope in this dark land.

A beam of light...
A lesson learned

My good friend Vanity has been trying to get me to not drink so much ale. I have been doing very well. Haven't had an ale since she asked me to stop drinking. She is right about one thing, I did have a big problem with ale. Not that ale is bad, but too much ale is very bad. Especially when you drink ale when you should be training or looking for crystals. At first, I stopped drinking ale just because Vanity asked me to stop, but yesterday she told me that I had to want to. That made me think about something else. If one will set out to do something, they have to want to do it. They won't do it to the best of their abilities if they don't want to do it at all.

Lost in the Desert
Learning from my own mistakes...

When I was level 6, many moons ago, I wanted to visit Branishor because I had heard stories of the beauty of the city. I knew you had to go through the desert to get there, but I didn't know that you had to go under the wall and through the black wastelands. I thought Branishor was just on the other side of the desert. That's what I get for thinking. I knew that I wasn't strong enough to fight anything in the desert, but I went anyway. I must have got behind someone. Anyway I got all the way to the wall entrance. I climbed the ladder to see what was up there, but when I wanted to get back to Milltown I started back through the desert and ran into sand zombies and giant scorpions. I had walked a good distance from the wall so there was no getting back there and waiting for help. I was stuck in that one spot. Eventually I asked El Gato for help. Since he was to strong for the desert creatures, he sent someone to get me. Since then I only explore places I can get myself out of unless I'm with a higher-level friend.

Quest for Branishor
Many moons ago...

When I was a young initiate, I heard Virgil talking about the Temple in Branishor. I was somewhere around level 4 or 5 when I heard tales of the great city. The temple is what intrigued me the most. I heard stories of a gigantic gleaming white dome, and giant oak doors, and of the marble statues of high clerics of old that line the foyer. The sheer beauty of the temple amazed me and I knew I had to see it for myself. It was then that I knew I was going to be a cleric, although I still had the longing to be a rogue that was instilled in me by my friends, Raksha and Seton.
